In the middle of a Los Angeles heat wave, celebrities were walking the red carpet in temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius, and in tuxedos and layered dresses, that means it is very, very hot. Sweating and fainting weren’t surprises on the red carpet as celebs toughed out the heat and did what they do best – look fabulous.
Taylor Schilling showed everyone that blondes could wear yellow in her one shouldered Stella McCartney gown. The flowing gown showed off the star’s gleaming shoulders and her bob took centre stage – we absolutely loved it!
Lady Gaga shocked us with her version of Hollywood glam – in a good way that is. The singer was absolutely stunning with her one shoulder Brandon Maxwell gown. The look was so simple but so, so impressive, especially if you compare it to that meat dress. Taraji P. Hendersen was also in plain black in her show stopping Alexander Wang gown. The layers of sheer skirting, the triangle chest cutout and the chain straps made this stunning gown unforgettable. Amy Poehler was another lady dressed in black, in her halter neck Michael Kors cutout gown. She showed off her new brunette locks and stacked chunky bangles high on both wrists.
Scream Queens star Emma Roberts all about ladylike glamour in her customer Jenny Packham gown. The nude tones were similar to her pale skin, but the perfect, plunging fit and pretty accessories made it work.
Sophia Vergara was all about her curves, as usual, in a strapless, gold St. John gown. It didn’t hurt that she had that huge engagement ring to match. Kerry Washington was also a metallic goddess of the night in her silver Marc Jacobs dress. The v-neck was very flattering on Kerry’s petite frame, while the sheerness of the dress was sexy and chic without being overwhelming.
