If you haven’t already heard about the magic of the Beauty Blender, then let me tell you this: it’s magic.
MORE: The Hair Secrets You Need To Know
The tiny pink sponge was designed to be used for all kinds of makeup application. It’s amazing for applying foundation and gives an airbrushed finished. It’s great for setting your face with pressed or loose powders. And it works perfectly for blending out cream products like contour and highlight.
But most people are using it wrong!
Don’t use the sponge dry. It was made to be used wet, and I don’t mean quickly running it under water or spraying it was a setting spay. Fully submerge the sponge under water and squeeze it a few times. Once the Beauty Blender has doubled in size, then wring all the water out and pat down with a clean towel.
Once the Beauty Blender is nice and damp its perfect for use!
Not only are they fun to use, they’re quick. When using a Beauty Blender you don’t want to swipe on product. Say you’re using a liquid foundation. Don’t swipe the product on your face, bounce the product in stippling motions up and down. It blends out product perfectly!
This will give your foundation a flawless finish and also a sheerer one. If you want fuller coverage then the Beauty Blender is perfect for building up layers that look super natural on the skin.
Beauty Blenders are my favourite for blending out foundations and concealers, and I think everyone should have one to complete their makeup collection.
