That’s why looking after our hair is a crucial part of our beauty regime. That’s why we’ve put together some fabulous hair tips for looking after your hair and keeping it looking amazing.

Keeping It Clean

If you’re low on dry shampoo and you know you won’t have time to wash your hair in the morning, sprinkle some baby powder over your roots. The powder will absorb the oil during the night and you’ll wake up with cleaner hair than you went to sleep with.

It’s recommended to wash your hair every few days to keep it fresh and smelling and looking clean. Washing your hair everyday can cause it to dehydrate and if your hair is already thinning, it can make it worse. Choosing a shampoo for your hair type and how often you wash is also very important.

When putting in your conditioner, there is no need to slather it on the roots. Instead, putting it on the mid-lengths to ends and rinsing in cool water to seal the moisture into your hair.

Keeping It Styled

We all know that we use way too many heat products on our hair. Try to avoid the heat by using rollers or plaits to get the texture you’re after.

Try to keep your hair looser to avoid putting too much pressure on the scalp and damaging the hair because of harsh hair ties. Avoid small rubber hair ties and any ties with metal on them to keep your hair from breaking.

Let your hair dry naturally if you’re not in a rush. Avoiding heat products where you can will help to minimise the damage.

It’s much easier to style your hair when it’s dirty, so if you have an even coming up. Work that dry shampoo to make it easier for you to pull out an intricate braid or updo.

Keeping It Healthy

Your hair health comes from the inside out, so making sure that you’re eating the right foods with plenty of protein and drinking enough water will help your hair to look and feel better.

When summer comes along and you know that you’ll be getting in and out of the pool, condition your hair before you hop into the water. This will help your hair absorb the conditioner and good moisture instead of nasty chlorine that will dry out your hair.
