As I enter the winter of my 20s, I have reflected on the last decade with a large pinch of melancholy. What have I done? What should I have done? And more to the point, why did I do all those things I now regret? Your 20s is the time to experiment and hindsight has taught me that there is no room for regret. Here are a couple of must-dos to tick off the bucket list before you reach (not so sensible) 30s.

Skydiving
With the wind in my hair and a juicy man strapped to my back I fell to the earth like a feather – if a feather weighed 80 kilos. Skydiving is not graceful. Skydiving is not sexy. Hurtling to earth at 100 miles an hour may not be a lot of things but it is definitely the most exhilarating activity I have ever experienced. Yes it is terrifying but once you do it, it puts all your anxieties into perspective. The world is quite literally your oyster after you have achieved jumping out of a plane.
Travel to far flung places
Travelling always tops the list but it doesn’t count if you book an all-inclusive break in a tourist hub. Going to Bali? Why not chose another Indonesian haven. Avoid always following everyone else’s book and write your own. As people, we often gravitate toward the choices that others make but there is nothing more brave then taking your own journey – in both the literal and metaphorical sense. Spin the globe and see where it lands.
Volunteer
Volunteering is so super fantastic for so the obvious reasons. There is no greater privilege in life than that of aiding others. Even something as small as mucking out the kennels at your local RSPCA is wonderfully rewarding. And turning thirty doesn’t mean that volunteering has a shelf life. Beginning to give your time for free is something that will no doubt become an integral part of your life as you travel from decade to decade.
Have confidence
Confidence is not reserved for those prettier, more intelligent or wealthier. Confidence is a state of mind and you can train yourself to act more self-assured. Ever notice confident people seem to radiate positivity? Positivity in turn tends to breed a happier relaxed outlook on life. Vow to enter your thirties as your best self. You deserve it as much as the next person.
