Adidas is fresh off collaborations with Pharell Williams and Mary Krantzou and has previously worked with Jeremy Scott and Stella McCartney.
The collection will be inspired by Rita’s own feminine and urban style as well as by her time working in a sports store. We all know from many previous outfits that Rita is a big fan of Adidas and the singer has expressed her excitement for the collection.
“I’m a massive fan of the brand,” she gushed. “I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger… I’ve been around Adidas for so long growing up and actually have one of my best friends working there. I used to hang out in the Adidas offices in LA for lunch when I’d visit her and in the past two years got to know everyone there.”
Rita was first approached for the collaboration last year at New York Fashion Week and has been working hard on her collection. Adidas Originals Art Direction Josefine Aberg has described Rita as amazing, colourful and outgoing. We can’t wait to see how Rita has put her bright personality into this collection, that ranges fro $30 to $500.
