This announcement, made at Coachella, had fashionistas all over the world cheering. The iconic Alexander Wang has announced that he will be collaborating with H&M for create both a women’s and men’s line that will be available online and in stores on November 6th this year.
Wang, who is one of the most sought after designers in the world, is the creative director for Balenciaga as well as owning his own label, Alexander Wang. This collaboration will be the first time that H&M has teamed up with an American designer.
Obviously keen to get his style inspiration out there, Wang says, “I am honoured to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to pushing boundaries and to setting a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.”
The line is set to be an affordable version of Wang’s unique designs and his boundary pushing style. With a H&M store recently opening in Melbourne and plans to launch an online store for Australians, we’re sure to be getting our hands on some of Alexander Wang’s designs.
