If you’re looking for the quality of high-end makeup for a fraction of the price then this brand is the one for you. Makeup Geek is a fairly new cosmetics brand that is slowly growing and becoming one of the best places to go to for eyeshadows and all sorts of other goodies.
Marlena Stell, the owner and creator of Makeup Geek, quit her day job as a school teacher and spent years researching labs, high-pigment, and custom colours to start her fantastic brand.
Out of all the producs sold on the Makeup Geek website, their eyeshadows are the most popular in the line (they also sell, blushes, makeup brushes, pigments, eyeliners, etc.). They sell for $6 US and come in individual pans so you can create your own pallets. Some eyeshadow colours are dupes for MAC eyeshadow colours (which are expensive, as I’m sure you know), and the quality and pigmentation of their eyeshadows are said to be better than MAC.
Makeup Geek is a favourite among most of the beauty bloggers, and their eyeshadows are the only ones I find myself reaching for in my huge (and unnecessary) collection of pallets.
