The Kardashians can cop all the flack they want from millions of people across the world, but one thing that cannot be denied is that these girls (and their makeup artists) know how to work their makeup.

From pushing contouring into a world wide phenomenon to creating a makeup line of their own (thanks Kylie!) these girls know how to make themselves look fierce all the time.
If you want to work it like a Kardashian when it comes to your makeup, you don’t need a makeup artist, in fact, you don’t even need the olive skin, all you need are the right tools and maybe a little more time to get ready.
Choose the right base
The Kardashians are famed for looking flawless on the red carpet, Instagram and even when they step out for lunch. Picking the right base is key to that look. Choose a velvet base that is going to blend well and cover flaws while giving a matte finish. Apply with a brush or beauty blender and set with powder for a seriously photoshopped look.
Contours
Contouring doesn’t necessarily mean shaping your whole face, but it does help in sculpting for the subtle look you want. Contour kits like Anatasia Beverly Hills and Cover Fx can help to guide you in where to stroke and blend for a slimmer nose, higher cheekbones and an enhanced face shape. And don’t forget the blush and highlighter!
Lashes
You need big lashes if you want to look like one of the sisters. Individual false lashes are going to give the best look for long and lush looking lashes. To do your makeup like a Kardashian, your lashes need to be long and feathery without being over the top.
Colours
The Kardashians are famous for their neutral base of browns and smokey colours that include a range of taupes, bronzes and rose golds. Eyeshadows with a shimmery colour and plenty of highlight are popular amongst the Kardashian-Jenner sisters – think golden goddess.
Eyeliner
You need a bit of liquid liner to add that drama to your look. Slick on a top line of black liner and shade the bottom lash line with a soft eyeshadow colour, keeping the dramatics up top.
Lips
Finally for your lips, would their be anything more Kardashian than using Kylie’s lip kit? These liquid matte lipsticks come in neutral and dramatic colours. If you can’t get your hands on the always sold out lipsticks, opt for a matte lipstick in a relatively nude colour.
