Here are a few things I can recommend to keep the boredom to a minimum.
Pay for phone charging
For long haul flights, this is a must. This is a great time to catch on some work. Be sure to download a few games or iBooks to keep you entertained.
Some airlines such as Scoot, offer in-seat power outlets for a fee of $5 for short flights and $8 for long flights.
UNO
This game never gets old! If you’re travelling with someone, be sure to pack a deck of these.
People watch
No, it’s not creepy – unless you take it too far. Sometimes it’s interesting to see how others interact with each other. It’s also a great Kodak moment to catch out people doing some pretty weird or embarrassing things.
Especially during turbulence, when people are trying to eat and their meals end up on their lap.
Sleep
It’s not exactly entertaining, but we all need it! If you can manage to get to sleep, then lucky you. On the weekend I sat through a seven hour flight with two babies screaming the entire time. Not. A. Good. Time.
