Beauty is a huge part of New York Fashion Week. Without a stunning face of makeup to complement the trend, the look just would not be personified properly.

The best beauty looks from New York Fashion Week are always those memorable ones that catch your eye and make you think, ‘It might be possible for me to attempt that.’
While most of us aren’t lucky enough to have NARS or or M.A.C makeup artists at our beck and call at home, most of the New York Fashion Week beauty looks are quite simple to imitate yourself.
A Wash Of Colour
Diane von Furstenberg had it right with the blue-green mix of pigments that covered the eyes of the girls at the show. The shimmery look was blended perfectly and paired with dewy cheeks for a fresh glow. The DVF girls had big, side-swept curls with a flower motif, which was inspired by a 70’s photograph of DVF herself.
Marc Jacobs also encompassed a coloured look, focusing on a punk theme rather than the DVF femininity. Blue eyeshadow and puckered lips with shiny skin had a completely different look that fitted the manic display of nostalgic pieces in a lovely way.
Monique Lhuillier’s show also embraced bright blues and greens to fit the spring palette, with models receiving a stroke of either colour eyeliner.
You Go Baby Vamp
The Cushnie et Ochs makeup was made up by Maybelline, using a plum shade on the lips to give that vampy feel. The brows were full a messy, while the eyes were softly darkened with a sweep of nudes and greys.
Bronzed, Windswept Beauties
It seems that bronzed faces and windswept, natural looking hair are in; which is perfect really, because how easy is that? Derek Lam embraced the California girl look with a twist; Michael Kors was all about the dusty, Southwestern outdoorsy look; Rag & Bone went for a look inspired by Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon, so faces were dewy and cold bronzed.
