We all get a bit of Aussie fever in summer. We hit the beach, we look forward to Australia Day and we watch top class athletes sweat and battle it out in the Australian Open.
MORE: Get Educated In The Preppy Look
After you watch something so intense and exciting, it’s only natural to want to get into it, or get back into it yourself. And if you’re going to start hitting the court for fun or fitness, you need a cute outfit to get you motivated and to keep your spirits up in the hot Australian sun.
If you’ve been paying close attention or picking out the outfits that you might want to get your hands on, like Serena Williams’ backless Nike dress, or maybe Maria Sharapova’s form fitting red number. Bright colours are a must at this year’s Australian Open and you can channel your favourite tennis star by picking up one of these cute ensembles.
Women’s tennis style has come a long way, with Nike and Adidas especially, pioneering new designs and colours to give the girls their own sense of style. Shorts can now be seen on the court, as Camila Giorgi looked cute and manoeuvrable in belted shorts and a collared tank with a lace print.
This year, purple has been a popular choice with Adidas dressed Ana Ivanovic and Simona Halep and of course, fluro colours with Nike, dressing stars in lime green and hot pink. Orange and peach colours have also been a popular choice, but we love Venus Williams’ blue patterned dress, by her own brand EleVen.
