Step 1:
Select the right lash type for your needs and desired look in terms of length, volume and how natural you want them to look. Popular brands like Ardell, Red Cherry, Eylure and Revlon provide a great range of various styles that you’re bound to fall in love with.
Step 2:
Remember, false lashes are not one-size-fits-all because everyone’s eye size and shape are different. Start by measuring the band of the false lashes against your eye and trim them to size. It’s important that you cut the part of the lash that will sit in the inner corner of your eye, or you may end up ruining the outer corner of the lash that makes the most overall impact to your eyes.
Step 3:
Finally, apply a thin amount of eyelash glue to the band of the false lashes. Apply extra glue to both ends as these are most prone to unsticking from your eyelids – drooping fake lashes are just not cute. Wait for 30 seconds before application or until the glue becomes tacky. Wet glue makes application more difficult and seriously messy if you make a mistake.
Step 4:
Now you’re ready to apply your lashes! Using tweezers or lash applicator, carefully rest the middle part of the lashes to the middle section of your eyelid and hold in place. It’s important to not rest it on your natural lashes, as it won’t adhere properly. Then, press the outer and inner corners firmly on the eyelid. Hold the entire false lash into place until you’re confident that it’s applied correctly.
Step 5:
To perk up your fab new eyelashes, lightly curl with an eyelash curler and apply a thin coat of mascara to bind your actual and faux lashes together for a natural look.
Tip:
If you make any mistakes, simply take a black liquid or gel eyeliner across your entire upper eyelid to cover them up (no one will ever know!).
