Sometimes we buy a shirt or a T-shirt and it’s too long. Other times it’s too baggy and we want to define out waist. For whatever the reason, here are some simple ways to tuck in your top.
The Full Tuck
If you’re going for a more professional look or you really want to show off your waist – go for the full tuck.
- Start with your bottoms already on and the zipper undone.
- Next, slip on your t-shirt or shirt, make sure its hanging longer than the waist of your bottoms.
- Start tucking your shirt all the way around the inside of your pants. Make sure it’s pulled tight.
- Do up the zipper.
- Now it’s time to loosen the shirt. You can do this by gently tugging the shirt up or raising your arms. Don’t pull it out too much because you don’t want it really baggy.
The Front Tuck
This is a more casual look that still looks nicely put together.
- Start the same way as the first step above. With your bottoms already on and zipper undone.
- Slip on your shirt or t-short next and make sure its hanging straight down.
- Next, only tuck in the front of your shirt and leave the back hanging.
- Do up the zipper.
- Slowly loosen the front tuck of the shirt to get a more slouchy look. Leave it tucked tight for a put together look. Simple as that!
The Half Tuck
This look is the most casual looking out of the three. It works best with a buttoned up shirt.
- Start the same way as the others.
- Slip on your shirt or t-shirt. If you’re wearing a shirt, unbutton it up until the waist of your pants.
- Tuck in one side of the shirt next to your hipbone. Make sure the other side is hanging down.
- Do up the zipper.
- Loosen the tucked side of the shirt to look more casual and you’re done!
