Mascara can be tricky, because no matter how many different types you use they all have different formulas or brushes, sometimes our lashes still fall!
So, how do we deal with stubborn lashes?
Here are 4 hacks.
- It seems super simple when you think about it, but, use an eyelash curler! So many women forget about the magic of the eyelash curler – or they’re using it wrong. Curlers are great for short eyelashes or eyelashes that point downwards. When using a curler, hold it close to the base of your lashes and give two quick pumps. Then move the curler to the middle of your lashes and give one more quick pump. Then follow up with your favourite mascara to lock in the curl you’ve made.
- Another super simple mascara trick that most women fail to do it wiggle the mascara wand. Like you tease your hair with a teasing come to create volume, wiggling the mascara at the base of your lashes will create volume. This makes the roots of your lashes thick and voluminous.
- If you have long lashes naturally back lack volume, coating your eyelashes in baby powder will give you the ‘flase lash’ look. First start with clean lashes. Then, dip a cotton tip into some baby powder and coat your lashes with the powder. Once all your lashes are covered go in with mascara. You’ll see a noticeable difference in the volume and thickness of your lashes. You can keep adding coats of powder and mascara to your lashes to add more and more volume.
- Lastly, use waterproof mascara! Waterproof formulas are stronger and longer lasting on your eyelashes. This means that they hold a curl better and it won’t drop during the day like some mascaras do. An added bonus is that it wont smudge onto your cheeks.
