1. Florals

Not your standard florals, the resort collection has introduced an array of differently blooming designs. Christopher Kane revealed neon, floral mini dresses, while Dior was a little more sketchy in their designs. Marc Jacob’s floral suits were more pop art and Chanel opted for patchwork florals.

2. Retro suits

Designers have remade the 70’s staple into a much more flattering and futuristic make. The classic two-piece suit has been reinvented by designers such as Altuzarra, Louis Vuitton, Derek Lam and Prada. Sleek, slim pants dominated the runways with some suits completely patterned and the others minimalist.

Peasant tops and maxi skirts are in full swing in the resort collections. Reinventing boho chic, designers are tailoring the look for evening wear and sophistication. Michael Kors, Rochas and Saint Laurent all took the boho look differently.

Sailor stripes are so last resort season, with the 2015 collections being about bolder, brighter stripes, whether they be horizontal, vertical or zig zag. Designers such as Valentino, Marni and Cedric Charlier incorporated unmissable stripes into their collections.

5. Midi skirts

Midi skirts are back for another season in a A-line form. Designers are sharpening the edges of their midi skirts and they are sleek, printed, embroidered and asymmetrical. Gucci, Fendi, Altuzarra and Valentino presented this trend in very different forms.
