Shoes To Covet This Spring And Summer

Winter is finally over here in Australia. If you’re like me and you’ve been waiting to rip off your woolly coat, peel off your sweater, and kick off your winter boots, then getting into the summer fashion is something you’ve been waiting for since… summer last year.

For me, buying summer shoes has always been the hardest part of putting together a summer wardrobe. In the cooler months, shoe options are always easier and revolve around clothed shoes to keep my feet warm. So, here are the shoe’s I’ve picked to make your choices easier in the coming months.

Flats

There’s only one type of flat shoe that should be on your mind this year, and that is the Aquazzura flat. Remember the ballerina shoes everyone was obsessed with five or six years ago? Well you could say these shoes are ballerina flats 2.0. They’re stunning, pointed flat shoes with a strappy lace up tie and look amazing on short legs or long.

Most of us don’t have $600+ dollars to spend on shoes, so here are some cheaper options.

Sandals

Sandals are your best choice for an everyday shoe. They’re comfortable, easy to slip on, and can effortlessly be transformed into a night look. For a quick slip-on shoe, Birkenstocks are your best bet (other than thongs of course) and are very on trend at the moment. For a sandal, something with a simple strap across your foot and an easy buckle at your ankle is flattering on the feet. If you want a less simple look, sandals with multiple straps are very popular.

Heels

Strappy shoes are what’s on point this season. Multiple crisscross’s and wraparound ankle shoes are all over stores…let’s not forget that pointed toe for that fabulous and chic look. If you find it hard to walk in heels then you’re in luck, because the thicker heeled look is definitely in at the moment.
