The 2016 Grammys Red Carpet

2016 grammys red carpet best dressed

The Grammys are unarguably the best music event of the year. Everyone goes a little crazy with their outfits and the Grammys red carpet is something not to be missed.Unfortunately, 2016 saw a lack of divas in attendance, with Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Rihanna not hitting the red carpet. If you think that made it a snooze, prepare to be wrong.

Let’s start with the best dressed of the night.

Selena Gomez showed up with BFF Taylor Swift and together they were the main attraction on the red carpet. However, we were feeling Selena’s blue, sequinned Calvin Klein dress much more than Taylor’s ensemble, but we’ll get to that later. Selena’s style transformation has her as one of the hottest young starlets, and she’s not afraid to show off killer curves with her gorgeous waves and sultry makeup look.

Chrissy Teigen was as elegant as ever on the red carpet with her baby bump encircled in a creamy Yousef El-Jasmi white gown with an embellished, beaded cape. Flawless natural makeup and her nude nails make the look so easy to pull off. #maternitygoals

Ciara showed off exactly what her mama gave her with a revealing gown. The black and white number was no-underwear-allowed, showing off plenty of leg. The asymmetrical gown left little to the imagination on one side, but was covered on the other, balancing the look and keeping it away from the trashy line.

Bella Hadid brought the fire with her Alexandre Vauthier Paris dress. The extreme plunge, the sexy outouts and her fierce expression, as well as boyfriend The Weeknd on hand made for one hell of an entrance.

Ellie Goulding was also one of our favourites of the night in a pale pink Stella McCartney. The styling of the look was perfect and her sideswept hair conveyed effortless style.

Meghan Trainor showed off her waistline in a black, sparkly Michael Costello long sleeved gown. We’re loving her darker locks, but weren’t a fan of her makeup, which would’ve matched better with her previously blonde hair.

Taylor Swift is sitting on the fence with us. The songstress pulled off a red hot two piece Atelier Versace with a peach bandeau top and hot pink skirt and knickers combo. While her killer abs and flash of leg were on display, we’re not too sure about her new, blunt Anna Wintour inspired bob or the panty display. The outfit was also very similar to the ensemble she wore last year. She could have classed up the shoes if she wanted to show off her underwear.

Ariana Grande is also on the fence with us in her red Romona Keveza gown. The colour was stunning, however the bustier fit top was an awkward shape on her delicate frame, making the gown look ill fitted.

Lady Gaga gave a tribute to the iconic David Bowie with one of his signature looks. There were no words for the custom Marc Jacobs gown and big hair except that Bowie would have been proud.

Demi Lovato was party in the front and business in the back with her Norisol Ferrari suited two piece. This one is so debatable, because the double layer around her hips heavies her frame, but she still looks so fabulous.
