Last year, Kendall Jenner branched out from her Kardashian name as ‘just Kendall’ when she walked for Marc Jacobs and Balmain, and this year, there’s a new modelling superstar in town.
Our favourite gal pal, Gigi Hadid, the latest member of the young model pack, has absolutely owned 2015 so far. The face of Seafolly and Maybelline, and Miss November in the infamous Pirelli calendar, as well as being named Model of the Year, Gigi has been slaying the catwalks all over the world for fashion week.
First appearing in New York for Jeremy Scott at MADE Fashion Week, Gigi was almost unrecognisable in a short, black wig and shocking pink eye makeup, but we soon recognised her and she let her blonde hair flow, just hours later. Also in New York for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (the last one!), Gigi walked in a red Super Bowl inspired dress for Tommy Hilfiger, in bohemian chic for Anna Sui and a stunning, blue ensemble Michael Kors
In Paris, Gigi walked beside best friend Kendall Jenner in H&M and in the much coveted Balmain show, and she hit even more runways in Milan. Donning three different outfits for MaxMara, and wearing bright ensembles for Moschino, Gigi was also seen at Dolce & Gabbana, where she wore a crown of roses and played around backstage with former Victoria’s Secret Angel, Karlie Kloss. But that’s not all! Gigi also walked for Emilio Pucci in a sheer-sleeved mini dress and 90’s inspired choker.
Walking in an incredible ten shows for Autumn Winter 2015/16, plus her other amazing attributes so far (and it’s only March!), it’s safe to say that it’s definitely Gigi Hadid’s year.
