How To Find Your Personal Style

If we can’t even pick out an outfit for the day then how are we ever able to find our personal style? Styling clothes can be tricky, and figuring out what we like on our bodies best can be even harder.

If you’ve felt a little lost in the style department then look no further! Here are some tips to help you get your wardrobe back on track.

  1. Clear out your closet. It may sound super simple and straightforward but clear out your wardrobe! Get rid of everything you don’t wear anymore so you can start rebuilding and start fresh.
  2. Look at inspo. Look through Instagram, Pinterest, or Tumblr to get outfit inspiration. When we see others or celebs wearing things we would like to wear we’re more likely to be inspired to wear them ourselves.
  3. Feel comfortable. There is no point in buying or wearing something that is uncomfortable. You are less likely to wear it and it will probably just take up room in your closet.
  4. Feel confident. Always wear things that make you feel confident or like the best version of yourself, and make a list of what they are. When you start to understand what makes you feel confident it’s pretty clear that you should be wearing those things all the time and you can build your wardrobe around those items.
  5. Understand your body. Wear pieces of clothing that work well with your body shape so your clothes are always flattering on you.
  6. Have go-to outfits. Life becomes a lot easier when you have a couple of pieces in your wardrobe that are your ‘go-to’. Maybe it’s a dress, or a jumper and jeans combo, or a jacket; have something that’ll make your life a whole lot easier on those says you’re rushing to get dressed in the morning.
  7. Don’t worry about others! A lot of the time we’re scared to wear the things we like because we’re scared of what other people will think. Get those people out of your head and you’ll be a lot happier. You do you!
