The fist way is a bit fiddly but very effective – It involves corn-starch.
What you’ll need:
Corn-starch (or baking soda if you have none)
A nail polish of your choice (colours without shimmer work better)
A toothpick
A small plate
Instructions:
- The first thing you need to do is pour a small amount (about the size of a 10 cent coin) of the nail polish onto the plate.
- Next add a small amount of the corn-starch into the nail polish. Add about half the amount of corn-starch, anymore and you’ll dry out the liquid.
- Working quickly, stir them together with the toothpick. Make sure they’re combined well.
- On clean nails, pain on the mixture you’ve made. Let it dry, and voila! Matte nail polish.
The next method is even easier, it involves steam.
What you’ll need:
Nail polish
Boiled water
A bowl
Instructions:
- Boil the water in a kettle or on top of the stove. Pour the boiling water into the bowl.
- Paint the nail polish onto your nails.
- While the polish is still wet, hold your nails over the steam for 20-30 seconds.
- Take your nails away and allow them to dry
And that’s it! Two super easy and cheap ways to get your nail polish on fleek.
