In the 90s, chick flicks were really popular and the leading lady of the era was certainly Julia Roberts. Let’s admit it, we all wanted to be the leading lady, we wanted the guy and most of all we wanted her life.

1. Sex Driven ‘Pretty Woman’
‘Pretty Woman walking down the street…’ This movie is awesome. Sexy Julia Roberts with hot Richard Gere. It’s set in L.A and all I can say is fashion, fashion and more fashion. Look at those sexy leather boots.
Richard and Julia fall in love whilst spending a week together in a hotel room that screams money. He gives her money to shop til she drops at Rodeo Drive, sigh! and wines and dines her with the best champagne and food. He takes her to an opera in a jet plane and wins her heart back with roses. Every girl’s dream man I would say, plus we get to see hot and stylish clothes. We Love it!
2. Tear Jerker ‘Notting Hill’
Another one with Julia Roberts but this time we have the cute and funny Hugh Grant as leading man. Julia plays an actress in this movie, set in England and she has the Hollywood looks and life in this tearjerker.
She falls in love with Hugh Grant’s character and throughout the whole movie we cry as they go on dates, he tries to make her happy and the lines that are shared between one another.
Added bonus: We get to see a more romantic side to Hugh Grant.
3. Drama-Filled ‘Titanic’
Who doesn’t love Titanic! It has everything to make a perfect chick flick from young love against all odds, hot passionate scenes and a super hot leading man (Leonardo Dicaprio). What makes it so sad is that Jack has to go and die. Don’t forget the romantic, flying and kissing scene.
You will laugh and cry in this historic top grossing movie. The acting is superb and the storyline is filled with romance and drama so get your tissues ready!
4. Teenage High School Romance
In a teenage rebellion and teen romance mood, ’10 things I hate about you’ is for you. It has quick wit, puppy dog love and two teenage rebellions who fall in love.
This movie showcases all the different cliques in high school and how all of them mix together. It has a prom, parties and a bet. Not to mention teenage punk music.
So fall in love with cute dorky Cameron, classy sweet Bianca, rebellious and witty Kat and most of all bad boy, Patrick. Don’t forget to swoon over Heath Ledger.
5. Last But Not Least, ‘She’s All That’
Another teenage chick flick but it has everything from the hot girl to the hot guy and the dorky but super sexy unpopular chick. Once again a bet, the bet brings the hot guy and unpopular girl together and they fall in love. It just shows you no matter what clique you come from you can be in love.
Added bonus: the dorky girl gets a makeover and shows everyone how sexy she is and that she does have style. She just kept it hidden.
