The multi-talented Pharrell Williams has teamed up with adidas Originals to design a line that will be released this winter (or summer, depending on your hemisphere). Already owning his own brands in the form of Billionaire Boys Club and I Am Other, as well as designing lines for G-Star, Uniqlo, Moncler and a perfume for Comme des Garcons, Williams will be working with his textiles factory Bionic Yarn to create special fabrics for the collaborative designs.
Bionic Yarn has teamed up with Parley of the Oceans to transform plastic debris found in the oceans into fabric. This is the first time that adidas has collaborated with a textiles company.

Williams is obviously very excited about this collaboration. ‘Working with an iconic brand like adidas is such an incredible opportunity,’ Williams gushes. ‘From the classic track suit, to growing up in Virginia wearing Stan Smiths, adidas has been a staple in my life. Their pieces are timeless.’
Ever the pop-culture icon, Williams showed off a never-before-seen adidas Track Jacket at the Kid’s Choice Awards. The jacket was emblazoned with the word ‘GIRL’ across it with the lettering made up of daisy print; perhaps a clue as to what the collection will look like, though both adidas and Williams are being very quiet as to what the collection may involve.
adidas has had many high profile collaborations in the past years including the recent line with Topshop. Other collaborations include Stella McCartney, Jeremy Scott and Rick Owens.
