Have you ever been frustrated at the sight of a ‘nude’ bra that doesn’t actually match your skin tone? Black is too dark and nude is too white? As it should have occurred to many designers by now, not all women are light enough to wear what is perceived as a nude coloured bra, and in fact, all our actual skin colours are vastly different. Finally, Nubian Skin have created a line of lingerie to suit many different nudes so that women can now feel comfortable wearing that white t-shirt.

Start-up lingerie brand Nubian Skin, based in the UK are now offering nude lingerie in four different shades that will be released at a rate of one colour per week leading up to the launch of their website in October. So far, we know two of the shades with berry being described as the darkest shade and cinnamon as that of medium-dark skin. Each shade of lingerie colour will come with a foundation guideline so women with that skin tone know if they will be matching the right one bra via their foundation colour.
Nubian Skin have said that they are redefining the word nude by providing lingerie and hosiery for women of colour, something which the industry has previously failed to do. Nubian Skin has described themselves as a different kind of nude and they will definitely be filling the gaps for coloured women with their gorgeous designs.
