A neutral colour that falls somewhere between black and white, grey is a great colour for your cardigans, sweaters and dresses.
Featured in the collections and runways ahead of winter, grey is a must have for your style. New York Fashion Week showed us what grey has to offer with a range of designers stepping into the shade. Sophie Theallet showed off a fabulous pair of grey pants in her show, while Altuzarra paraded an elegant grey dress in his collection.
Despite the dull term for the colour, grey is a wonderful way of lightening up your wardrobe by trading black for something a bit different. Oversized sweaters are a good starting point for experimenting with the colour, giving the wearer a comfortable and stylish casual option.
Looking simple and elegant in knitwear, grey has come a long way from it’s “grandma knit” days. As a great neutral colour it can be worn casually or formally depending on the item. Australian chain store Witchery are showing off their collection of grey items with a suggested cool white ensemble for “the new season’s ultimate pairing”. Their emphasis on grey makes it appear stylish with a touch of casual all in one.
