Milan Fashion Week Recap

Emilio Pucci

Milan Fashion Week is in full swing with gorgeous street style, fabulous runway shows and lots of hashtagging and gelato. Milan Fashion Week has brought out some of the best street style we’ve ever seen complete with some flashy, Italian flare and our favourite designers such as Prada, Moschino, Emporio Armani and Fendi have graced our live feeds with some top trends for the season.

More: Trends From London Fashion Week

Moschino showed us what living in a Barbie world is like with their doll inspired collection, complete with mini handbags and pink lips, while Fendi have no doubt set a trend for the season with their orchid hair accessories. Gemma Ward opened up Prada’s runway after being absent on the catwalk for six years, wearing nylon granny knee socks and chunky platforms.

The sports luxe is still going strong with Stella Jean putting her best model forward in the trend – Cara Delevingne, of course. Gucci played with a ’70s theme bringing back suede, high button ups and military chic and Alberta Ferretti also used the ’70s theme, be it in a more floaty, wood nymph manner.

Versace displayed a range of jackets on the runway, offset by fun sparkling mini skirts and accessories, while Roberto Cavalli also used some shimmer with his silver, crocodile mini suit with matching bag. Emilio Pucci’s collection differed from the rest with bright tie-dye dresses with spaghetti straps, mini dresses and crocheted ponchos with a hippie fringe.

With a range of trends from minimalism and neutrals to floaty fabrics and bold colour, Milan has left us wanting more fashion, beauty and behind the scenes pics. Luckily, we still have Paris left to bring out the big guns in the form of Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Lanvin and more.
