Funny-girl Melissa McCarthy has always made headlines in the industry for her new movies and comical theatrics. Recently though, Melissa is moving into a different role, one that she has had her heart set on since she was a teenager.

This August, Melissa will release her own fashion line called Melissa McCarthy Seven7, a collection of all sizes.
Known for her larger figure, Melissa made headlines this year for starting to lose the weight that had made her so famous. Appearing in the sitcom Mike and Molly, and movies like Bridesmaids, The Heat and most recently, Spy, Melissa often makes fun of her size and uses it for comedic value.
The fashion line she will be releasing is purely selfish she says. It’s something she has always wanted to do and fashion is something that influences her life so much and makes her happy. Being so involved in the design process, she’s excited to see her designs on other women and be able to talk shop with them about her passion.
The line will be a very mixed bag, as Melissa says, “some days we want to be rock ’n roll and some days we want to be more polished.” Amen, sister! We can’t wait to see the full line when it is released in August and the higher end collection that will hit stores in 2016.
Melissa has released sneak peaks of her line via Instagram and so far it is adorable. Made up of a huge mix of items from Melissa’s cute paisley items to a cat sweater, which we hear she is very proud of, the line is also going to include workout wear, beauty and accessories! We can’t wait to see what the actress has planned for our wardrobes!
