The Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 collection was shown in none other than the futuristic domes of the Foundation Louis Vuitton, where models walked through all three space-age, mirrored spheres to show off Nicolas Ghesquiére’s new collection for Paris Fashion Week.

Louis Vuitton is a classic French brand, pioneering trends and moving towards a modernized culture, appealing to French and International fashionites through some killer looks. Nicolas Ghesquiére has obviously become more comfortable in his role for Louis Vuitton, even bringing a couple of logo tees to the runway.

This season, there are a few key elements that Nicolas Ghesquiére wants us ladies to wear through Autumn and Winter, so it’s time to pay attention and have your wallets at the ready.

Fur coats

Waist length, knee length, black, white or leopard; whichever length you choose. This season, your best (and warmest) friend is a fur coat or at least fur detailing. Classic and cosy, the fur coat is a great addition to any winter wardrobe, whether it be real or faux, adding a retro chic appeal, especially when paired with pointy ankle boots.

60s style

Mini dresses and chain waist belts, mini skirts and leather accents – Twiggy would definitely be donning Louis Vuitton this season. The swinging 60s style is back in fashion, and only fifty years after its prime, us ladies will be showing off our legs and getting into the groove in this collection.

Shoulder silhouettes

Nicolas Ghesqueire has us rocking a wider shoulder silhouette with the use of ruffles on shirts and dresses. Patterned, metallic and plain pieces featured the shape, giving us good evidence that we will be seeing this more in the coming season.

It’s in the bag

The bag that we choose this season will be just as important as the dress we pull on. One stand out at the Louis Vuitton show was the return of the cubical case as the latest accessory. Models walked runways with chunky cases, which means plenty of space for all your hand bag needs. Smaller hand bags and purses were also clutched in hands in varying colours and textures. It’s all about mixing it up this season, and a contrasting handbag is the perfect way to do it.
