Lancome's 80th Birthday Bash

Don’t we wish that when we have our 80^th birthday party, we’d be inviting all our celebrity friends for a glamorous red carpet event? I guess Lancome is a bit more iconic than us, but a girl can always dream right?

Lancome, the French beauty brand, recently celebrated their 80^th birthday with a fabulous event during Paris Haute Couture A/W Fashion Week, where all their famous friends dressed in amazing designer dresses to pay tribute to the quintessential brand. Held at 10pm, somewhat early for the fashion club, 1200 guests gathered under an arc of pink roses at Casino de Paris to celebrate and dance the night away.

Among their guests were A List actresses like Lupita Nyong’o and a freshly blonde again Julia Roberts, models Doutzen Kroes, Lily Donaldson and Chrissy Teigan as well as a special performance by Kylie Minogue.

For her on stage appearance, Kylie was spotted in Jean Paul Gaultier, a dress which was shown on the runway at the Haute Couture show earlier that day. But on the red carpet, her ruched red dress was simply stunning on the Australian beauty as she mingled with guests before an outfit change to belt out the tunes.

Lancome ambassadors Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Lupita Nyong’o, Kate Winslet, Lily Collins, Alma Jodorowsky and Daria Werbowy hit the stage together for the first time ever, along with Isabella Rossellini as the master of ceremony to wish Lancome and their guests a very happy 80th anniversary.

Black and metallics were the flavour of the night with a lot of ladies showing off a fair bit of leg in their gowns and dresses. Julia Roberts was a stand out in a black mini dress accompanied by a longline black blazer. Penelope Cruz and Michelle Rodriguez both donned black gowns and while Michelle’s was split to show some leg, Penelope’s gown had a lace skirting.

Chrissy Teigan and Kate Winslet also got the black memo, with Kate in a fit and flare mini dress, while Chrissy chose a gown and turned up with husband John Legend in tow.

Maybe by the time Lancome turns 90 we’ll be on the list to celebrate with them in Paris, but until then, check out some other celebrity snaps from Lancome’s 80th Birthday night.
