Kookai’s string of perfectly tanned models and their slicked back pony tails or perfectly tousled beach waves has made us all the more excited for summer. Their Spring Summer 2014/15 runway show, between crisp, white deck chairs, was full of bright colours, stripes, patterns, monochromes and some summery slacks that were to die for.

The beauties strutted the catwalk at Carriageworks, showing us the biggest trends for the coming season. We’re loving the neon watermelon jumpsuit with cutouts and the colourful crop tops that were circling the stage. Stripes came many forms – midi skirts, skate skirts, shorts and matching crops as well as cute, short dresses. Both pattern clashing and matching will most surely be in, with striped skirts paired with patterned tops and matching stripe ensembles.
You can’t go past classic black or white (or both) for summer and Kookai have covered all bases with fresh, light dresses and sexy, body-hugging LBDs. Cut-outs were a prominent theme with many pieces sporting panels on the sides or back.
We’re summer girls at heart and we are loving Kookai’s fun, colourful, mix and match collection for Spring Summer 2014/15.
