Healthy Ice Cream? We Have The Recipe

If you’re someone who follows a strict diet and has a workout program that you follow, it is hard to fit in desserts. Not to mention that they are a big no-no. But here’s a little secret that we will share with you. It is homemade ice cream that is fat-free, dairy-free, no added sugar or preservatives and plus it is rich, creamy and luscious like normal ice cream. And… it only uses one ingredient.

BANANAS! They are full of protein, and what better excuse to have ice cream for breakfast. I still can’t get over the fact that it genuinely does look like soft serve ice cream and tastes incredible.

What you’ll need:

2 frozen bananas

How?

  1. Chop up two frozen bananas and process in a food processor for five minutes and every once in a while scrape down the sides.
  2. You will know it’s ready when it has reached an ice cream like texture and the colour has changed to white like the image above.

This is just the beginning of the nice cream craze. You can be creative and add frozen berries, cacao powder, honey, frozen mango, nuts etc. The possibilities are endless!
