Not quite a half up half down, not quite a bun, the half bun is all the rage not only in Hollywood, but also within the royal family. Gasp! That’s right, Kate Middleton is up with this trend!
The half bun can be used for casual, day to day hair styling, or, with a little more effort, can be used for a beautiful formal ‘do. Celebrities like Sienna Miller and Julianne Hough have demonstrated the trend, making a bad hair day disappear and seeming effortlessly casual. Kate Mara and Candice Swanepoel have taken a step up from the messy half bun, making their buns neater and thus a little more chic.
Kate Middleton, being the Duchess that she is, has worn the half bun regally, with soft curls falling down her back. Even Aussie ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ star Margot Robbie has used a half bun on her platinum locks.
The trend is spreading people! It’s time to get all up on it, especially because it is essentially, the easiest trend to do ever. All you need is a hair tie and half of your hair to resemble your favourite celebrity, and the best pair is, almost any hair length can have some variation of this trend.
