Can you say amazing? You will after you see the latest Giorgio Armani Privé collection. In a swirl of pastel purples and shimmery designs, the 2016 Spring Summer Haute Couture collection reminds us of modern woodland fairies hippie dancing among the mushrooms in the forest. That might be a bit of an overstatement, but you get the picture.

The collection was all about purple, bring shades of mauve, lilac and lavender in a mixture of textures, ranging from PVC to organza to tulle and crocodile and more. The vast array of materials with added crystals, sequins and chiffon in varying lengths brought a never-ending creativity and depth to the collection.
Inspired by divas of the 40’s, mini dress and skirts with jackets gave a feminine, modern look. From flowing dresses to trousers, shorts and ruffle skirts and a bit of fringe here and there, the collection is so diverse that it gives so much more colour than just those toned of purple.
Accessorised with small clutches, round sunglasses and ankle boots, the Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Couture collection is offset by black and white within the line, sometimes even swirled for a psychedelic yet sophisticated look.
With plenty of shimmer and shine, some pieces almost seem like modern disco, but in an amazing way, if that was ever a thing. As a lover of lilac, I cannot fault this collection that has so much variety; no one would notice if this was your only and entire wardrobe.
