Eyebrows are some pretty incredible features on our face. They can frame our face perfectly…or they can make our nose look too wide or our eye too far apart if they’re not filled in right.
Thicker eyebrows are on trend at the moment, but that doesn’t mean that thick brows will suit everyone. There are a few tips to get your brows to suit your face perfectly!
The first thing you need to figure out is where your brows should start and end, and where you should position the arch. If you hold a pen straight up from the side of your nose, that’s where your eyebrows should start. If you angle the pen from the side of your nose to the corner of your eye, that’s where your brows should finish. You should be able to see the natural arch of your eyebrow, if not, use a brush and brush up your eyebrow hairs. The arch should be more noticeable then.
The next step is to fill in your brows. For a more natural look, you only want to fill in the sparse parts.
To fill them in fully, use an eyebrow pencil or a powder and an angled brush similar to your brow colour. Draw in short strokes along the bottom your your eyebrows, mimicking eyebrow hairs. Draw in hairs following the natural growth of your eyebrows. Eyebrows usually grow upwards towards the front of your brows, and across towards the tail of your brow. If your eyebrows are really sparse, you’ll want to also define the top of your eyebrow.
Brush through your eyebrows with an eyebrow brush when you’re done to soften the look. If they need more filling in continue the steps again. To hold them in place for extra longer, use an eyebrow gel to keep them on place all day.
