Real Techniques was created by Sam and Nic Chapman. The two sisters are both professional makeup artists from Norwich. They built their career as makeup artists working in MAC, freelancing in London and doing runway shows.
In 2008 the sisters started a YouTube channel called Pixiwoo, and the rest was history. Their channel took off, and in 2011 with their newfound YouTube fame they were able to create their makeup brush line: Real Techniques.
The Real Techniques brushes are cruelty free and the best quality brushes you can buy. They’re sold at ‘drugstore’ prices, and sold individually or in packs. The brand became so popular it branched out to several different countries, including Australia.
Sam and Nic’s original makeup brush line was so popular that the sisters expended on their existing brush collection and came up with the Bold Metals brushes. This brush line is sold at a more expensive price than the original line, but is said to be even better quality.
The Real Techniques range continues to grow and grow. New brushes are coming out on a monthly basis and more and more people get excited when they release new stuff.
Real Techniques brushes are definitely the best brushes I have in my makeup stash.
