The 2015 BET Awards were a mixture of fierceness and metallics, are stars embraced the shimmery and slinky trend. The BET Awards show that sometimes less doesn’t equal more, and one is required to go all out to make it in the style stakes.

Nicki Minaj took to the red carpet in a figure hugging Givenchy gown with a front zipper detailing. The long sleeved dress was lacy and quite demure for Ms Minaj, though she still managed so show off ample cleavage. Gabrielle Union was on the red carpet in a liquid black Halston Heritage halter dress with cheeky waist cut outs. Janelle Monae swept across the red carpet with her little black dress and cape combo by Safiyaa. The cape was lined in a bright violet, and she completed the look with a gold, metallic choker and gold, serpentine sandals. Kelly Rowland, also in black, chose a feathered frock to show off in for the night.
Zendaya showed off her choppy ‘do and those perfect pins in a sequinned Nicolas Jebran mini shirt dress that we absolutely loved. She flawlessly pulled off the short dress with a leotard underneath and consequently made us all jealous of her nonchalance while not wearing pants. Ciara went for a long, beaded Wes Gordon slip dress in a subtle houndstooth pattern. The shimmering beads sat gorgeously against her skin and there were slits and plunges in all the right places. We’re a big fan of her sleek hair.
Laverne Cox accentuated her assets in a plunging navy jumpsuit with body chains to accessorise. Karrueche Tran debuted her platinum locks, which we love, with a snakeskin blazer-trouser combo and a tiny crop top, showing everyone, including Chris Brown, what the girl has going on. Brandy attended the awards in a black and silver, fit and flare mini accessorised with a pair of bright pink pumps, while Christina Milian was all about the bling in a bejewelled jumpsuit with major cut outs.
