Ever become a little bored with your standard black eyeliner? While black eyeliner does look lovely on eyes, you can also spice up your makeup routine by adding a coloured liner into your looks.

Be it on the top of the lid or below the bottom lash line, coloured eyeliner adds a bit of fun to your makeup. Common eyeliner colours to use are shades of blue, green and purple. If you want to try out this trend but aren’t sure of the bright colours, try a transition to a brown eyeliner and then work your way into a brighter colour.
Don’t just pick your favourite colour for this trend. Certain eyeliner colours match better and complement particular eye colours, though a safe bet for many would be a blue pencil underneath the lower lash line. This draws attention to the eyes, so try to stay away from bright lip colours as this will clash. Purple or green eyeliner works very well with green and hazel eyes and brown eyes can try any colour, even yellow.
To start out, you could even use your coloured eyeliner with a thin line of black eyeliner along your lashes to play it a bit safe. This way, you can ease into the colours that you like and the degree of thickness that you like.
