Giambattista Valli will launch his new ready-to-wear line at Milan Fashion Week in September this year. The new line which will be named Giamba after the nickname Valli was given from friends, will sit along side his main line Giambattista Valli Paris. Valli has said that his new collection will be more playful than previous designs.

“There is also an underground and sexy side in me and in my designs that you will see in the Giamba line. I’ve been thinking about it for a while and waited for the right time, and now it’s matured. I am really very happy. I feel the need to dress women in general, and Giamba is a little more intimate.”
Previously showing his ready-to-wear and couture at Paris Fashion Week, Valli has decided to debut Giamba in Milan as a part of him is returning to the country.
“France has given me a lot, but so has Italy and a part of me is returning to the country.”
