Shine, shine, baby! We’re lighting up – our faces, that is – and beaming with goodwill this holiday season. So, we’re happy to share our top illuminating products to help get your highlighter on fleek!
theBalm – Mary-Lou Manizer
This highlighter is a cult favourite and probably the most raved about highlighter on the market. It’s an amazing golden champagne colour with a strong formula that lasts a long time on the skin. Its super pigmented, has multiple uses (looks amazing as eyeshadow), and suits every skin tone. Definitely my favourite highlighter.
Benefit – Watt’s up!
A subtle cream highlighter that can be packed on for that perfect inner glow. Because it’s a cream product, it looks more natural on the skin than a powder would. It’s a pretty light golden champagne colour, mostly suited for medium to fair skin. Another classic highlighter.
NARS Highlighting Blush – Albatross
This highlighter is similar to the Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm. It has a lighter, slightly golden finish and glow, which suits lighter skin tones better. It has a super smooth formula so it’s easier to blend on the skin. Another old-time fave of the beauty bloggers.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish – Soft and Gentle
This highlighter is an old-school classic and I’m sure every beauty enthusiast has this stashed somewhere in their collection. It’s a subtle highlight with soft glitter reflects and the perfect peachy glow. It’s better for lighter skin tones and perfect for beginners because it isn’t too pigmented.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector – Moonstone
A beautiful champagne highlighter that would suit most skin tones. It’s not too light in colour or too dark. It’s super long wearing on the skin and highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. Out of all the popular BECCA highlighters this one is by far my favourite and the most versatile.
