Venice Film Festival Red Carpet Moments

venice film festival red carpet

The Venice Film Festival has been running for the past week, and it’s just another opportunity for celebrities to wear a fabulous designer and swan along the red carpet in a gorgeous country.

MORE: A Classic VMAs Red Carpet

Charming Venice provided beautiful weather for some well dressed celebs to do some sight seeing and attend the premieres of fantastic movies that are yet to hit the screens.

Elizabeth Banks made quite an impression at the Venice Film Festival, appearing in Marchesa, Elie Saab and Dolce & Gabbana to name a few. Our favourite was a tie between the lacy and floral Marchesa number and the classic and embellished Dolce & Gabbana, though Elizabeth’s other floral dresses, polished hair and chic heel choices were also fantastic.

Diane Kruger was also in attendance on the red carpet, looking all old Hollywood chic in a white and silver Prada gown with an embellished train. The beaded gown had sliver slits around the ribs and Diane’s simple diamond accessories and finger waved updo kept the dress as number one.

Kristen Stewart appeared in a silver Chanel tea-length dress with matching silver Christian Louboutins. Her updo and vampy lips added a bit of her personality to the outfit, and silver was absolutely stunning against her skin tone.

Amber Heard was spotted in Alexander McQueen; a strapless floral gown that cinched perfectly at her waist. While the dress was gorgeous and so was Johnny Depp who was on her arm, we can’t get past her intricate mohawk braid, which looked incredible.

Dakota Johnson had a big hit and a small miss on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. TheΒ 50 Shades Of Grey actress appeared in a black Marc Jacobs gown with a very textured bob, which we weren’t too impressed with due to the off the shoulder style on the petite actress. However, her Prada gown won our hearts. The simple, slip silhouette; the soft pink colouring; the drop earrings and updo. We were totally taken by this creation which crowned Johnson the winner of the best dressed on the Venice Film Festival red carpet.
