Top 5 Young Style Icons

While we used to idolise style icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn and worship the fashion that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss wore, there is a younger breed of fashionistas that are hitting the style ball out of the park and making a name for themselves as style icons.

Though our older icons are still fashion royalty and very influential, this new breed of younger celebrities with great style are very hard to ignore and very hard not to praise.

There are many celebrities to look up to that have amazing style such as Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port, Camille Belle and Alexa Chung. However, these 5 ladies really stand out from the crowd of the red carpet and seem to out do their outfits every single time.

1. Blake Lively

We know that we’ve been talking about Ms Lively a lot lately, but who hasn’t? Her appearances at Cannes and the Met Ball as well as those in-between such as the Gucci Chime For Change campaign have been absolutely flawless. With seemingly endless pairs of Christian Louboutins, the face of Gucci and L’Oreal ambassador keeps perfecting her casual and red carpet outfits.

2. Emma Watson

Emma Watson has continued to impress us with her amazing looks this year. Recently attending a dinner at Windsor Castle and meeting the royals, Emma Watson continued her winning streak with red carpet fashion. Always nothing less than elegant, her style is definitely one to look up to.

3. Rihanna

She is set to receive the CFDA’s Fashion Icon of the Year Award, so how could we not put Rihanna on this list. As one of the most influential people in music and fashion, Rihanna always manages to pull off an edgy look that no one would think of trying. With a bit of attitude, bad gal Riri doesn’t care what others think and regularly transitions from risque to somewhat demure.

4. Lily Collins

Lily Collins never ceases to amaze us with her ladylike ensembles. With thick eyebrows, perfectly tousled hair and always the perfect amount of fine accessories, she always pulls off a great outfit. Appearing on the cover of Lucky earlier this year, Lily has recently been announced the Fall Face of Barrie Knitwear.

5. Elle Fanning

She may be young (just 16), but Elle Fanning is going to be one to watch in the style stakes. The ‘Maleficent’ actress and face of Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 collection has come a long way since her Rodarte mini-dress in 2011, climbing up the fashion ladder with Oscar de la Renta and Vivienne Westwood.
