There’s been no secret of the sneakers trend that has been taking over the fashion world and thus the actual world for the last couple of years.
Editors at fashion week in sneakers would have previously been a no-no, but now, if you’re not rocking sneakers, why are you even there?
The sneaker is the perfect show for women. It’s versatile, it’s flexible and it’s very, very comfortable for our long hours and our running around to meetings, after kids and after husbands.
But it’s not just sneakers that are back, it’s the 2000-era big, white skater shoes that are hitting the streets on celeb feet – quite often paired with a dress.
The cute dress, skater shoe juxtaposition was one that even I rocked in the 2000’s, when I thought I was super cool and individual. Now, it’s back with a vengeance, with better look shoes, better looking dresses and more style than we could poke a stick at.
Celebrities are loving this look to keep their outfits comfortable, with an edge and to make it easier for them to run around on their days off or on.
Jessica Alba, Kendall Jenner, Karreuche Tran and Karlie Kloss are among the celebrities who have switched their heels for skater shoes and paired them with a dress for their outings.
