It’s our favourite time of year once again with the Spring Summer 2016 New York Fashion Week bringing out all the fabulous fashionistas and their street style.
New York Fashion Week is the best place to see the newest trends with fashion bloggers, models and magazine editors braving the chilly weather and opting for shorts and lighter fabrics, in line with the trends that have been spotted on the runway.
This year’s street style themes sat around the neutrals with ladies dressed in breathable fabrics on taupe, cream, brown and white. Flowy designs mixed with tailored pieces were all the rage and the women, who have come from all over the world, were of course at their fabulous tanned best.
You couldn’t have New York Fashion Week without a splash of black. Black is the new black in street style with a mix of chic, shapeless pieces and edgy, leather additions.
There were a few bouts of colour thrown into the mix with yellows and greens proving popular choices. The natural palette it seems, is going to be big. Tommy Hilfiger brought the classic blue and red looks with street stylers spotted in bomber jackets and coloured designs outside his show.
There were a few Aussie ladies catching the undying attention of street style photographers. Vogue Fashion Director Christine Centenera and Shine By Three blogger Margaret Zhang were popular among the crowds.
