After hating her drab attire in the corporate world of finance, the outspoken designer who started her company in 2013, has been making headlines and creating social media buzz for all the right reasons.
Her brand has become a maverick within the fashion industry, challenging conventional standards of beauty that we’ve become oh-so-sick of seeing on the front cover of glossy mags.
After noticing that fashion largely ignores the everyday woman, Smith decided that Rum + Coke will only use plus-size women of colour as models, who are as gorgeous as her original designs, which are available in sizes S-3X.
