Makeup Hacks for Lazy Days

So it’s been freezing cold outside lately but staying in your warm bed all day is just not an option most days. But just because the weather is less than cute, doesn’t mean you have to feel that way! If you’re lazy or it’s still looking drab outside, we’ll share with you our top tips to looking fab, always.

MORE: How To: Lazy Day Hairstyles

1. Tinted brow gels
Learn to leave the house without the on-fleek brows for one (lazy) day, and embrace the tinted brow gel. These products have rich pigment that will comb through individual hairs, providing colour, fullness and subtle definition in less than a minute.

2. Bronzer = eyeshadow

Double your favourite bronzing powder as your new favourite eyeshadow, by quickly sweeping some bronzer onto your eyelids with a fluffy brush and blend up into the crease. This trick works particularly well with shimmery or glowing bronzers that add dimension to your look.

3. Smudgy eyeliner
Being short on time doesn’t mean you have to skip defining your eyes all together. Okay, so you may not have time or motivation for a crisp, cat eye but you definitely can spare a few seconds for that beachy Kate Hudson eye look. Messily line your upper and lower lashline with a bronze or brown eyeliner pencil or gel and quickly blend towards the lashes for maximum definition.

4. Lipstick = Cheeks + lips
Too early in the morning to think about coordinating cheek and lip colours? Well, think no more. Pick your favourite shade of lippie, swipe it on your lips, and then dab it on your cheeks while you’re there! Apply two or three small dots of lipstick onto the apple of the cheeks and quickly blend with warm fingers. Perfect for that fresh, undone look!

5. Cream eyeshadows
Lazy days are a no-fuss eyeshadow look kind of day. Skip the intricate eye look, and swipe on a cream eyeshadow that can be applied and blended with warm fingers in seconds. This looks amazing with flattering, light-reflecting products that will add interest to your look, you know, like you actually tried hard (don’t worry, we won’t tell).
