It was preppy chic meets holidays at the Hamptons for Topshop Unique’s showing at London Fashion Week and, as this is one of my personal all-time favourite looks, I could not be happier.

The collection was, of course, targeted at a youthful generation and the front show of the runway was exactly that. In attendance were Alexa Chung, Ellie Goulding, Pixie Lott, Hailee Steinfeld, Abbey Clancy, Laura Carmichael, and Daisy Lowe. Add to that stellar list of ‘IT’ girls, the one-and-only Cara Delevingne walked in the show, so it certainly catered to its target audience.
Down the catwalk came tennis dresses and canvas bags, cheerleader-style jumpers and pleated skirts (sadly, minus the pom-poms), then a nod to the ’50s with some flounce and frill in flirty, feminine dresses. But it was the finale that stole the show, as models emerged one-by-one in sexy, sheer numbers that had me instantly regretting that pizza I ate for dinner last night.
