Crystal Bay, Koh Samui, ThailandKoh Samui, located in the Gulf of Thailand is the host to popular beaches such as Chaweng and Lamai. Away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hotspots, hides a little cove that goes by the name of Crystal Bay.

Boulders and shrubs create a half-crescent shaped coast line, intertwined with the islands iconic coconut trees.

Stop here for a swim, snorkel or kayak! If you’re feeling peckish, check out Crystal Bay Beach Resort for some lunch. If you love your Thai curries, I must recommend their Mussaman Curry. The rich, creamy flavours left us feeling totally satisfied, as we overlooked the bay.

The best way to travel around Koh Samui is by moped. As long as you’re experienced and responsible, you can explore as much as you want for a fraction of what tour guides and taxi’s will charge.

TIP: When hiring mopeds, be sure to take photographs of every part of the vehicle. The last thing you want is to be smacked with a bill for something you didn’t do!

A mere 17 minute ride from Chaweng and a short 5 minutes from Lamai, Crystal Bay is a serious must see on Koh Samui.
