This day has been created not only to remember the lives lost of this day but to provide hope for the future of the fashion industry and encourage consumers to pay more attention to where their clothes are coming from.

#InsideOut was Fashion Revolution Day’s way of spreading knowledge of this tragedy and making consumers question where their clothes are come from. By turning pieces of clothing inside out and using the hashtag on social media, Fashion Revolution Day helped spread the word about changing the industry to make it safer for the 75 million people employed in it.

Fashion Revolution says that they want to encourage change everyday, not just one day per year, and that this is the start of ethical thinking about suppliers in the fashion industry.
