Crop Tops Banned From Spring Races

In a bid to keep the races a little classier, officials are cracking down on a crowd favourite. Don’t worry, it’s not the champagne! It’s the ever-trendy crop top, with the Victoria Racing Club saying that it does not meet the dress regulations.

Crop tops have flourished throughout the seasons, making it through Winter and onto Spring and warmer weather, but the VRC are sticking to their guns and banning this wardrobe staple from the Members’ Enclosure.Even cheeky cut outs on dresses won’t make it past these purist rules, to the dismay of many Spring racing designers.

Those in General Admission will not have to abide by these rules, so there can be as much ab flashing as desired! Though this rule may be shocking to some, it seems that 70 per cent of members agreed that crop tops should be vetoed from such a classy event.

No need to fret about not being able to show off your fab figure. There are plenty of other gorgeous outfits that will have you looking amazing on race day.
