Usually reserved for celebrities, or reality stars in Kim Kardashian’s case, and high profile models, Spanish Vogue has just put international blogger Chiara Ferragni on the cover, marking a day in history where bloggers are acknowledged as influential and fashionable moguls.

Chiara Ferragni, who blogs on The Blonde Salad, is one of the most recognised bloggers in the world. Constantly dressed in labels like Dior, Saint Laurent and Celine, Chiara, who looks like a model herself, is a successful blogger, travelling the world for shoots and appearances and having her own shoe line.

Her first Vogue cover features her dressed in a khaki jacket and a nude mini dress, while another image has her seated, draped in fur while surrounded by three Afghan hounds.

Sharing a preview of images on her blog, Chiara added her excitement to her followers, saying, “Goodmorning guys! Today is a very special day for me: I’m super proud and happy to tell you that I will be the cover girl of Vogue España April issue! This is my first Vogue cover ever and I can’t really tell you how much I’m thrilled about it”.

It’s a big day for bloggers around the world, showing that the likes of Vogue are starting to step up and notice the influence and power that bloggers have on the fashion community.
