It’s almost that time of the year again. Forget Christmas and New Years, we’re talking the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (duh!).

There is nothing like the anticipation of angel wings, supermodels and lingerie to get us excited, and this year, the most glamorous occasion on the fashion calendar is shaping up to be their hottest one yet. With the Angels now confirmed, musical acts locked in and a spectacular new location, we’ve got everything you need to know to be catwalk ready come December 9th.
After last years ridiculously successful show featured a ‘British Invasion’ theme, it would appear that the Victoria’s Secret British love affair is set to continue, with this years show to be hosted in London for the very first time. New York has played host for the past three years, and previous cities to also welcome the Angels to town include LA, Miami and Cannes. With six Victoria’s Secret stores now open in the UK, and the brand awareness at an all time high, it seems like the perfect opportunity for the Angels to go abroad. However, with tickets for the Earl Court show strictly invitation only, it looks like us mere mortals will have to be content with watching the show from the comfort of our own homes (we can dream though!).
After a dazzling performance at last years show, woman of the moment Taylor Swift (who definitely doesn’t look out of place on the runway) will be lining up for a repeat performance, no doubt looking forward to a sparkly reunion on the catwalk with many of her supermodel besties (Karlie Kloss and Lily Aldridge to name a few). Joining her will be pint-sized pop star Ariana Grande, British native Ed Sheeran (another one of Swifts bffs) and Irish singer Hozier.

It doesn’t matter where the show is however, or who is performing, for Victoria’s Secret, it’s guaranteed success revolves around the Angels, and the women donning the wings this year are no exception. Seasoned Angels we can look forward to fan-girling over include Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Doutzen Kroes, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss, Behati Prinsloo and Lindsay Ellington.
It’s also the first time that two, not one, but TWO fantasy bras have been unveiled, with the honour of wearing them going to revered Victoria’s Secret specialists, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosia. With the estimated value of each bra over two million dollars, we can look forward to drooling over the diamonds (and the bodies) as they shine on the catwalk.

Aussie beauty’s Shanina Shaik and Kelly Gale have been confirmed as models, as has London local Jourdan Dunn, and also the likes of Devon Windsor, Iza Goulart, Jasmine Tookes and Maria Borges. Essentially, the most gorgeous women on the planet are descending on London, and we are missing out on all the action.
It’s the names missing OFF the list however, that have been causing quite the stir amongst fashion insiders. It-Girl and supermodel Cara Delevingne, who had previously walked for Victoria’s Secret is missing from the line up, as is fellow Brit Suki Waterhouse, who was rumoured to be joining the London show for her debut. We can’t forget Kendall Jenner either, who hasn’t been named despite being on everyone’s runway radar after her career making appearances at New York, Milan and Paris fashion weeks earlier in the year. With Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Metiers d’Art presentation on the same night though, the absence of Delevingne and Jenner may just be a clear demonstration of where their loyalties lie.

So settle in ladies (maybe with a tub of ice cream to console yourself), and prepare for an overload of long limbs and toned abs, as the Angels descend in time for the 2104 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
